Jays will send over cash considerations in exchange
After losing Clay Buchholz to the injured list, the Blue Jays desperately needed more starters. Word was spreading that the Jays were looking externally for help, and it appears as if they found it.

Jackson enjoyed a renaissance last season at the age of 34, posting a 3.33 ERA across 92 IP. His 0.8 WAR was his best season since 2013.
He’s made two starts for A’s in Triple-A this year, running up an 8.38 ERA.#BlueJays

The last trade Edwin Jackson was part of came on July 27, 2011 when the Blue Jays traded him to the Cardinals. He has been with seven organizations since.

It sounds like Jackson will make his first start on Wednesday in San Francisco.
