Baseball Reference has him at a -0.8 WAR. FanGraphs -0.9.
His strikeout rate is down 18.8% from 22.5. And his walk rate is up 9.4% from 5.4.
His hard hit rate isn’t any higher than last year, 33.8%, last year 34.1. Line drive rate, ground ball rate and fly ball rates are much the same as last year, but his BABIP is way up from last year, .286 from .211. So maybe he was having good luck last year.
