Ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the Toronto Blue Jays’ system (84th overall in MLB) by MLB Pipeline, Trey Yesavage has been lights-out dominant. He has a 2.84 ERA with 18 strikeouts across 12 2/3 innings pitched at Single-A Dunedin. In his last start, he recorded a career-high 10 strikeouts. Across his first four pro starts, he’s sporting a 3.12 ERA with 28 strikeouts in 17 2/3 innings pitched.
For a second straight start, Yesavage put on quite a performance through his first four innings, and he equaled his double-digit strikeout total from his last outing. The Blue Jays 2024 first-rounder and top pitching prospect is making a strong impression, and potentially making a case to move up in the farm system. It shouldn’t be long until Yesavage and Khal Stephen, Blue Jays’ first and second-round picks from last summer’s draft are off to High-A Vancouver.
Back-to-back 10-K games for Single-A Dunedin’s Trey Yesavage. He has 20 (!) over his past 9.2 innings.

21-Year-Old Trey Yesavage Impressing as Blue Jays’ No. 2 Prospect
Looking for a Promotion
Yesavage, who is 21 years old, had his second straight great outing with Single-A Dunedin on Friday. He went 4 2/3 innings, surrendering only two earned runs, one hit, and getting 10 more punchouts. He’s demonstrating how he’s ready for a promotion. Yesavage is projected to make his MLB debut in 2026. This works great, as veteran starters Max Scherzer and Chris Bassitt will both be free agents after this season.
