There was a bit of news while I was busy playing poor tennis:
- Bowden Francis has been put on the IL with forearm extensor tendinitis. I’m sure someone else can explain that one.
- Brendon Little has been called up from Buffalo. But he pitched a fair bit this spring, 8 appearances, 8 innings, 6 hits, 6 earned, 5 walks with 10 strikeouts. And 2 hit batters. In Buffalo, he’s pitched in 9 games, 9.1 innings, 7 hits, 3 earned (2.89 ERA), 8 walks and 16 strikeouts. That’s a 37% strikeout rate (the walk rate isn’t great).
Heal up Bowden. Welcome Brendon.
Today’s lineup, if they get the game in. It is raining in KC.
And Bob Cole passed. He did hockey play-by-play for years and years. And he always mentioned the shut-ins. My wife could tell you when in the game he did it. I think just after the first commercial in the second period.
