There was some bad news: Octavio Dotel died in the roof collapse at the Dominican Republic nightclub. Dotel played 15 seasons in the MLB, including one with the Blue Jays.
There were some injury updates:
- Swanson threw a bullpen session for the second time
- Burr will soon throw a bullpen session.
- Varsho is throwing longer distances.
- And Kirk fouled a pitch off his leg just below the kneecap and is feeling it today. Schneider says he was going to have today off anyway, but sounds like it is a good day for a break.
