We have the debut of Addison Barger, which made Minor Leaguer very happy to get to do a pun in the post title.
Kevin James Kiermaier goes on the IL with inability to make contact with a baseball left hip flexor inflammation.
I hope Addison convinces the team to keep him in the lineup. Of course, I’d love to see Orelvis Martinez, too, but a step at a time.
Addison Barger was informed he’d been called up to the Blue Jays around 11:30pm Tuesday; rushed to Sahlen Field to grab his gear and was on a flight to KC around 6:00am. He estimates he slept for 20 minutes.
Tonight he’ll be playing left field for the first time in his life

Barger will play left tonight and bat 8th. Turner gets a day off. Daniel Vogelbach is a real person and not just a name they added to fill out the active roster numbers. Varho plays center and hits cleanup Clement at third, Biggio at second.
