The start of a series with the Red Sox.
There are some injury updates:
- Erik Swanson is starting a rehab assignment with Dunedin today.
- Max Scherzer threw off a mound again.
- Byan Burr threw to hitters for the first time since going on the IL today.
- Nick Sandlin is rehabbing, it will be awhile before we see him.
As Keegan Matheson notes, we have a lot of outfielders on the roster (which is why I thought they would keep Wagner on the roster). We could see an interesting-looking defense if a couple of infielders run into each other.
Myles Straw played 170 innings of shortstop in 2019 and three more innings in 2020. I don’t think we want to see him there.
