The Jays have a shot at a four-game sweep today, and Kevin Gausman is on the mound, so I’m feeling hopeful.
Davis Schneider is back and in the lineup today.
Alan Roden was back a day or two ago and hasn’t yet touched the field. Oh well. Erik Swanson is back with the team, too. I wonder if he will be straight into a setup role or have him pitch in a less stressful role for his first time back.
Tomorrow is an off-day, and then the Phillies are in town. Our starters for that series:
Blue Jays scheduled starters vs Phillies:
Tuesday — Bowden Francis
Wednesday — Jose Berrios
Thursday — Chris Bassitt— Arden Zwelling (@ArdenZwelling) June 1, 2025
Today’s lineup. Clement plays first. I don’t understand that. He’s the best defensive second baseman on the roster (and best shortstop and third baseman, too, as much as I like Barger), and we give him the position where no range is needed.
Go Jays Go.
