
Yesterday was badly needed. Now they have to complete the series win this afternoon.
Chris Bassitt hasn’t exactly been slumping, but he’s allowed 7 runs over 13.0 innings his last two times out. He’ll look to regain the excellent form he had earlier in the year against a beatable White Sox lineup. On the other side, Adrian Houser is off to a great first five starts after signing late in Chicago. His underlying strikeout and walk numbers are pretty mediocre, though, so hopefully the Jays can rough up his shiny 2.15 ERA a little bit.
