Exactly halfway through the season.
Vlad isn’t in the lineup. It sounds like it will be day-to-day for him. They say he could pinch-hit, but I doubt he will.
There are some injury updates:
- Yimi Garcia will pitch for Buffalo on Sunday and could be activated after that.
- Daulton Varsho is running again after a setback last week.
- Anthony Santander isn’t swinging a bat yet.
- Alek Manoah threw 25 pitches in a bullpen session. He’s to throw a ‘two-inning BP’ Tuesday. After one more BP, he should be able to start a rehab assignment.
- Ryan Burr will pitch for the Bisons tonight.
- Bowden Francis played catch, throwing 60-90 feet.
