GameThread Game #41: Blue Jays at Giants

May 15, 2019 by Blue Bird Banter Leave a Comment

The Jays are in San Fran, visiting old friend Kevin Pillar and playing in the prettiest ballpark I’ve ever been to – AT&T Park Oracle Park. Get ready for the double switches, triples alley, and barbecues on boats (h/t to NelsonL for finding the clip).

Trent Thornton, who will bat in the majors for the first time tonight, is actually a switch-hitter. Expect to see #BlueJays pitchers bunt a lot, but if bases are empty they’ll have the chance to swing away

Here are tonight’s lineups in front of home plate ump CB Bucknor (sigh). Jonathan Davis gets the start in center, batting 7th. Vlad stays in the number 2 slot, and Jansen will catch for Trent Thornton. On the other side, Pillar bats 6th.

Lineups for #BlueJays 5/14 game at #SFGiants

TOR bench:
C – 21 Luke Maile (R/R)
IF – 3 Brandon Drury (R/R); 44 Rowdy Tellez (L/L)
OF – Teoscar Hernandez (R/R)

SF bench will be listed in next tweet in this thread. pic.twitter.com/dcc2ue5npi
