Happy Canada Day.
The Jays made a roster move before today’s game:
- Jonatan Clase has been sent to Buffalo.
- Leo Jiménez gets the call-up because you can never have enough middle infielders.
This suggests to me that Bo Bichette might be out for a few days (he’s not in the lineup today). Jiménez is playing shortstop today. He’s hitting .271/.417/.333 in 15 games for the Bisons. He missed a couple of months with an ‘undisclosed’ injury.
Clase is hitting .210/.288/.300 in 34 games with the Jays and has had some misadventures in the outfield.
