That was a fun couple of days with Yimi Garcia back on the roster. Now he is on the IL again with an ankle sprain—poor guy.
Robinson Piña, whom the Jays picked up on June 24th, is taking his spot on the roster. He’s a RHP. He pitched two innings in Buffalo. Before that, he had 13 appearances, 11 starts for Jacksonville, the Marlins’ Triple-A team. He had a 3.47 ERA with 54 strikeouts in 57 innings.
Welcome Robinson. Heal up quick, Yimi.
