The Jays made a roster move:
- Will Wagner is back up with the team.
- Alan Roden is on his way to Buffalo.
Roden wasn’t getting playing time anyway, so he might as well play in Buffalo. His line for the Jays was .206/.279/.309 with one home run.
Wagner started the season with the Jays, hitting .186/.284/.220 in 20 games before going to the Bisons. With Buffalo, he has a .268/.342/.451 line with 3 home runs. Will can play third and first, and some second if needed.
He’s a lefty hitter, too.
I thought Roden needed a couple of weeks of starting every day so we could see what he could do when he wasn’t worried about having to sit if he went 0 for.
He’ll be back at some point.
