Earlier in the week, we ran SB Nation’s FanDuel-sponsored Reacts poll asking if you would take the over or the under on Fanduel’s 79.5 wins.
Most of us are optimistic we can clear that bar:

It is nice to see there is optimism about the season. The team is 8-6 at the moment (pretty good considering a good part of the batting lineup hasn’t heated up yet), a .571 winning rate that would have them winning 92 games this year. We are a game better than our Pythagorean record of 7-7.
92 seems a little bit optimistic to me, but one can hope. But I’d like to think we’ll be over .500 this year.
Our starting rotation has been terrific so far. Our only poor start was Jose Berrios’ opening day start. I guess the Max Scherez start (2 runs in 3 innings) before he left the game with an injury wasn’t great either. In all, our starters have a 2.48 ERA.
On the relief side, we’ve had some good and bad days, but the pen is better than last year. They have a 4.47 ERA. They have to make some decisions on the back end of the pen, but the main guys, Hoffman, Garcia, Green, Little and Sandlin, have been pretty good.
Now, if we could get some of the power hitters going, things would be great.
The National question asked, “Which team has been the biggest surprise to start the season?” and the Braves were the leaders in the poll, which is fair. I expected better than 3-9. On the positive side, the 9-3 Giants are a surprise, too. Their starting rotation has been terrific.

Thanks to all who participated in the survey this week!
