The Toronto Raptors and general manager Bobby Webster have had exploratory discussions over a multi-year extensions, sources told Michael Grange of Sportsnet.
Webster, who replaced Masai Ujiri as the team’s top executive though kept the general manager tag last summer, is reportedly in the final year of his contract.
The relationship between Webster and the MLSE ownership group has grown throughout the season.
It was reported earlier this month that Webster could be facing “win-now pressure” ahead of the trade deadline due to his current contract situation.
The Raptors are also gauging the value of RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley, and have been linked with moves for Domantas Sabonis and Ja Morant.
