The Washington Wizards have identified Masai Ujiri as a candidate for their general manager position.
Ujiri has been with the Toronto Raptors since 2013 and signed a contract extension in 2016. The Raptors are unlikely to let Ujiri for any current opening.
But Ujiri is intrigued by the idea of moving to Washington. Ujiri’s wife is from the area and he also sees Washington as a larger platform for his Basketball Without Borders program.
Ujiri is considered a significant long shot to actually leave the Raptors for the Wizards.
