After discussing Game 4 of the NBA Finals on The Zach Lowe show, the eponymous host and Bill Simmons talked NBA trade buzz. Most of the discussion focused on a seemingly impending Kevin Durant trade from the Phoenix Suns.
After listing off the known suitors of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Houston Rockets and Miami Heat, Lowe and Simmons agreed that the San Antonio Spurs should still be considered a potential Durant landing spot. The two also agreed that buzz around the Toronto Raptors should be taken seriously.
Toronto has the necessary salaries for good veteran players to put together in a potential Durant deal. Raptors front office leader Masai Ujiri also isn’t afraid to make a big move, even if there’s nothing guaranteed beyond the upcoming season. Durant has one season remaining on his contract, before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2026.
